The Edge of Evil is my first campaign and began in December of 2017. It’s a melodramatic evil campaign that I conceptualized specifically to give an opportunity for my friend Taylor to play a lawful evil sorcerer she made.

Unfortunately, Val Daerwynn the half-elf had two hit points and died very early in his first session.
Val’s short life planted the seed that turned into the epic campaign of the Edge of Evil. What started as a campaign about a shady crook and her vendetta has turned into an interdimensional adventure of life altering proportions.
My wonderful players!
Darius as Airenommeron, gnomish wizard and artificer

Airenommeron enjoys three things: explosions, gadgets, and minerals. Combining his passions together, he’s caused a lot of death. And an instance of self-inflicted eyerot.
Gabe as Marmie Dook, dog-kenku sorcerer

Bobbie Dook lived his whole life as a slave to mindflayers in the Underdark. After being repeatedly experimented upon, he discovered his shadow sorcerery and managed to flee … into a portal that immediately spat him into a torturous demiplane. One terrible experience later, he finally had genuine freedom. Until he carelessly chucked his soul into a spiked pit during a resurrection and immediately died. Not wanting his body to go to waste, his companions bound the soul of a golden retriever to Bobbie’s body and made Gabe’s new character: Marmie Dook.
Megan as Canaria “Libel” Gronkle, half-orcish cleric

After four hundred years of being trapped in the body of a six-year-old girl with the voice of a canary, Canaria got aged fifteen years by the fluke of a dice roll that utterly derailed her entire backstory. Sorry, Megan. Canaria’s god forsook her a few months later, and with her regained voice she pledged herself to a new entity that she had never heard of as she crumbled to dust and respawned in the afterlife, once again in her six-year-old body.
Kelly as Nuri Tirumri, human bard

A former slave from Thay, Nuri’s repressed almost every memory she has. But as she starts mingling with increasingly powerful entities, what little she remembers seems like it might not be true at all.
Colton as Tycandus, tiefling sorcerer

Tycandus comes from nowhere and everywhere, and makes a habit of only murdering people who do bad things—or for food that one time. He doesn’t back down from taunting omniscient little girls who have the power to remove his hands, feet and nose, or from jumping into murderous death voids and instantly dying.
